Managed IT Services for Sarasota, Manatee & Charlotte Counties

Portolan Networks is a managed IT and cybersecurity provider based in Sarasota, serving businesses across Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties. Every managed plan includes 24/7 security monitoring (EDR/MDR), DNS filtering and privileged access management, built into one per-user price starting at $150 per user per month. Our founder, Pat Midzio, has worked in IT since 1998.

IT Support That Fits How You Work

Most clients hand us everything with fully managed IT: help desk, monitoring, patching and security. If you already have IT staff, co-managed IT fills the gaps without replacing them. We also handle Microsoft 365, backup and disaster recovery, business phones and internet failover. See all services.

Security Built In, Not Sold as an Upgrade

Every Managed IT plan starts with a security baseline: EDR/MDR backed by a 24/7 human-staffed security operations center, DNS filtering and privileged access management. Every Microsoft 365 plan we manage adds identity threat detection, email filtering, security awareness training and backup. Those are the controls cyber insurers ask about most. How we protect your business.

Proactive, Not Reactive

Downtime, data loss and tech headaches cost you time and money. We monitor and patch your systems around the clock and fix problems before your team notices them, so IT stops being the thing you think about.

Local to Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Counties

We’re based in Sarasota and work on site from Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch to Venice, North Port, Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. When you call, you reach people who know your setup, not a national call center. Meet Pat.
