5 steps to improve your ransomware resilience

Be prepared: Sooner or later, your business WILL be attacked

Not-so-fun fact: A business is attacked with ransomware every 11 seconds!

What is ransomware? It’s a type of attack in which your data is encrypted, or scrambled, if you will, until you pay a fee to get it back. It’s terrifying to experience and, once the attack has been launched, it’s very difficult to undo.

During the pandemic, cyber-crime, such as ransomware attacks, have increased by 600% in the past year.

Cyber criminals are targeting small and medium sized businesses. Why? Because many don’t take cyber security seriously enough.

It only takes for you or one of your staff to click one bank link to let a criminal into your system. Once they are in, they can spend weeks, undetected, working to prepare an attack.

Their primary goal is to prevent your IT partner from discovering them and kicking them out once the attack has begun.

At some point, you WILL be targeted; this is the unfortunate reality for all businesses in 2021. Whether or not your business succumbs to that attack depends on how prepared you are.

Do you know how resilient your business would be if fell victim to ransomware? We can tell you.

A resilience plan can make your business stronger

My name is Pat Midzio, and I own and operate Portolan Networks LLC, a local IT support and data security company service Sarasota and Manatee counties.

I believe in being honest with my clients. That’s the type of working relationship I encourage. From the start, I explain to my customers that no matter how many layers of security we implement for their business, there is never a 100% guarantee that they will be protected from a cyber-attack.

For a limited time, I’m offering businesses like yours a resilience check.

We will talk to you about:

  • Your business
  • Your data security
  • Any ransomware resilience plans you currently have in place

Then we’ll be able to judge how well your business would cope with a ransomware attack. We will suggest things you can implement to reduce the time it takes your business to respond to and recover from an attack.

We do this for a fee of $199, simply to cover our experts’ time.

Before we go ahead, we’ll need to have a quick call (no more than 15 minutes) to discuss your business and answer your questions.

We’ve made it easy for you to arrange this. My live calendar is below. Take a look and select the date and time that suits your best.

There’s no obligation to go ahead with the check after we talk. And no obligation to buy anything, ever.
